Goering & Associates:with over 70 years of combined accounting experience. LET US PUT THAT EXPERIENCE TO WORK FOR YOU!
R. Scott Goering was born and raised in Kansas, and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Accounting. He started his accounting career working in a bank, just as his father and grandfather before him. Later experience included Accountant, Controller, and CFO positions in the Animal Health, Dairy, and Healthcare industries, and in various high-tech manufacturing entities, along with supervising computer departments in several of those. While working for these companies, Scott was able to provide management with insightful business analysis and review, budgeting and planning, internal controls, and professional financial, accounting, and business leadership.
Scott's wife Kathy attended the University of Illinois, and began her accounting career working for a trucking firm in Urbana. She went on to work at a Rolls-Royce dealership (no free samples unfortunately!), followed by many years keeping track of state and research funds at Texas A&M University. Then, for almost 25 years, she worked at small- to medium-sized businesses in Colorado, which gave her additional experience in various aspects of accounting, including Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Automated Accounting, Shipping, Journal Entries, Bank Statement Reconciliation, and Financial Statements.
